College to auction off huge collection of surplus catering equipment

Wilsons Auctions has announced the unreserved public auction of The City of Glasgow College’s assets ahead of relocating to its new campus premises.

The college hosts thousands of pieces of equipment and in the first of three auctions there will be an estimated 2,000 lots to include a huge range of catering and hospitality equipment – all to be sold with no reserve.

The auction is expected to attract huge attention from those in the catering and hospitality industry across the country looking for second hand supplies.

The auction contents include a large quantity of commercial kitchen equipment including gas cookers, gas hot plates, deep fat fryers, commercial ovens, pizza ovens, salamanders, bain maries, grills, commercial fridges and freezers butchers blocks, potato peelers.

A large quantity of commercial bakery equipment will also be auctioned including a selection of commercial mixers, pastry presses, dough sheeters, doughnut machines, proofers, over 300 S/S prep tables and S/S sink unit of varying sizes, pull through dishwashers, bottle fridges.

The first auction will take place at the Townsend building: City Campus, 230 Cathedral Street, Glasgow, G1 2TG. Lots can be viewed online or onsite at the Townhead premises from 29th August 10am to 30th August 4pm.
