TLG unleashes new openings team as it eyes more restaurant projects

Thai Leisure Group (TLG) has vowed to continue expanding into 2016 after revealing it passed the £30m turnover mark last year.

The group insists the “bumper year” it has just had provides it with solid foundations to enlarge the business across the country and has even led to assemble a ‘new openings team’ for the first time.

It opened four new sites in 2015, spending some £4m on the projects, making it one of the fastest growing Thai restaurant groups in the UK, according to the group.

TLG currently has 15 restaurants across the four core brands, Thaikhun, Chaophraya, ChaoBaby and Yee Rah, and is looking to add a further eight to 10 new sites this year to their expanding portfolio.

The impressive 2016 roll-out plans are being supported by TLG’s openings team, a newly-formed internal division created for the sole purpose of ensuring the smooth opening of their new sites.

The first site launch of 2016 gets underway at the end of March, with the opening of their authentic Thai street food concept Thaikhun in Newcastle’s Metro Centre, their first foray into the North East.

Additional restaurants from across the four brands will be launched in Guildford and Aberdeen, as well as other yet to be announced locations.
