Vito backs innovation in the kitchen

Oil filtration systems specialist Vito is backing innovation in the kitchen after signing up as a category sponsor for the inaugural FEJ Power List, which is published next month.

This special supplement will be distributed alongside the October edition of Foodservice Equipment Journal and profiles 50 of the fastest-growing multi-site operators and the key management and operational professionals that have played a part in their success.

The Power List aims to celebrate the significance that forward-thinking kitchen design and equipment innovation plays in the growth of market-leading operators today.

Vito is the sponsor of the ‘Kitchen Innovators’ category, which honours operators that are seeing the benefits of investing in the latest equipment innovations and concepts to improve the efficiency of their kitchen operations.

“We sponsored the Kitchen Innovators category as we believe this is what our company stands for — providing innovations and green solutions to an age-old problem of waste cooking oil,” said Vito’s UK managing director Iain Addison. “It’s important for operators to invest in modern technologies which, at the end of the day, will elevate their product to a higher standard and, just as importantly, help maintain consistency for multiple-site business.”

Vito provides a range of oil filtration systems that promise better tasting fried products, reduced labour costs and cleaner fryers. It supplies to a number of top operators including the Marriott, Crowne Plaza and Radisson hotel groups.

Addison believes that technological advances in foodservice equipment mean there is a great opportunity for operators of all types to embrace the latest innovations — and once they find something that works they should stick with it to achieve the most efficient process possible. “My advice would be to keep in close contact with suppliers as we are constantly improving our products and bringing new ones on board,” he said.
