Commercial catering equipment supplier Lincat has created a series of new videos on its website, demonstrating the capacity and versatility of its combi steamers.
The six videos are hosted by Lincat’s development chef Paul Hickman and showcase its Opus SelfCooking Center 5 Senses combi steamers.
Lincat’s Opus SelfCooking Center 5 Senses combi steamers can combine dry heat and steam and can be used to grill, roast, bake, steam, stew, blanch or poach. They are designed to save time, produce strong results consistently and reduce energy consumption.
They do, however, require things to be done differently, as Paul Hickman explains: “If you have never used a combi steamer before, the prospect can be quite daunting. It’s difficult to imagine, for example, how you might be able to cook an entire English breakfast of sausages, fried eggs, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, black pudding and hash browns in a single unit in less than 10 minutes. One of our new films shows just how easy this is to do.”
He continued: “Other films demonstrate: overnight cooking, steaming different products at the same time, baking pastries, à la carte food production and how to use the unit’s self clean system. They are intended to complement the series of Opus SelfCooking Center 5 Senses live cookery workshops we run throughout the year, which give people who are thinking of investing an opportunity to see the units in action and put them through their paces.”
