UK launch: March 2017
The latest incarnation of IMC’s WasteStation promises to help operators reduce food waste volumes by 80% and the actual mass by up to 60%.
It grinds the food waste into fine particles, which feed directly into the built-in dewatering system.
Through centrifugal action, the WasteStation forces out the excess liquid from the macerated waste.
This ‘grey water’ is fed directly to drain, while the resulting solid fraction of the food waste is collected in small, easily managed, lidded bins ready for onward processing. The WasteStation can process up to 700kg of food waste per hour, reducing waste storage, transport and labour costs.
