American chain Wing Zone is to open its first UK franchise outlet in Finsbury Park, London, on 5 November.
The licensed 32-cover restaurant will serve chicken wings in a choice of nine different flavours devised as the Wing Zone ‘Flavour Fuze concept’ – such as Nuclear Habanero, Honey Q and Mango Fire as well as burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, shrimp, fries and other side dishes.
Wing Zone, was developed by Matt Friedman and Adam Scott in 1991 who started out by selling buffalo wings to students at the University of Florida.
Now grown exponentially from those original ‘frat house’ beginnings, Wing Zone is a popular chain in the US which, as well as in the UK, is also now opening under franchise in Singapore, Panama and Russia.
It is not clear now many franchise stores the company is looking to open in the UK.
