Project Distribution (Prodis) has developed a vinyl wrapping service for all its undercounter glasswashers and dishwashers.
The company said the move is in response to the space challenges faced by many venues, which puts pressure on designers to become more creative with both back and front-of-house installations.
National accounts manager Darren Mairs says the vinyl wrapping – which is also now used by some manufacturers in the refrigeration sector – is the ideal solution for operators that want to move away from the stainless steel look.
“This enables designers to either hide the machine in plain sight by simply matching the finish of the machine to the bar or counter design or to make a statement by adding a customer’s logo, work of art or bold design to the appliance,” he said. “This allows designers to put the dishwasher front-of-house in full view of the customer without spoiling the aesthetics and atmosphere of the venue.”
Mairs insists the only limitation with this technique is the customers’ imagination.
“Any finish or look is possible from a simple wood effect finish to match the decor to a full colour illustration or logo to create maximum impact,” he added.
Staffordshire-based Prodis is one of the UK’s largest importers and wholesalers of commercial refrigeration, glass and dishwashing equipment, ice makers and catering equipment.
