YO! Sushi is to open a London flagship restaurant on Tottenham Court Road after taking over a site that has been occupied by Ca’puccino for the last two years.
The sushi chain has bought the existing lease from Ca’puccino following a U-turn in the cafe group’s long-term plans for the site.
Back in 2015, Ca’puccino chiefs told FEJ that the Tottenham Court Road site was a key part of a strategy that had already seen it open outlets in some prime London locations.
The 1,900 sq ft restaurant will have space for over 70 covers on the ground floor level and is due to open at the end of summer.
It will feature YO! Sushi’s new format and latest branding, which were launched earlier this year in New York.
Leo Feldman, partner at Shelley Sandzer, which acted in the deal, said: “We’re pleased to have sold Ca’puccino’s lease on to YO! Sushi, who will be a great addition to the constantly improving food offer in Tottenham Court Road.”
Shelley Sandzer’s professional team has a long-standing relationship with YO! Sushi, carrying out rent reviews across the brands entire UK portfolio.
The team, headed by Duncan Lillie and Victoria Oates, is currently acting for several big brands including Cote, Bills, Gaucho and Wahacca.
