The UK’s largest provider of fridge and freezer trailers has launched a 24-hour breakdown service specifically for the hospitality industry to provide emergency back-up for when hotel and restaurant freezers malfunction.
Worcestershire-based Coldtraila noticed an influx this summer in hospitality staff using its trailers to keep food and drink from spoiling when their fridges and freezers broke down.
After searching the market in both Europe and beyond to cope with rising demands, the refrigeration experts found and acquired two of the highest quality trailers to set-up a new service for the emergency storage of produce in such an event.
Ross Pushman, managing director of Coldtraila, said: “Due to a significant increase in our trailers being used as a back-up to store food when hotel fridges and freezers malfunction, we decided we needed to offer a bespoke 24-hour breakdown service.
“Our new and exclusive Chill-Tow and Freeze-Tow trailers’ heavy-duty chiller capabilities, which includes surplus cooling power and rapid temperature recovery, will help those in the hospitality industry ensure food and drink is kept in the appropriate conditions no matter what time of day.”
Both trailers come equipped with a special multifunctional digital display unit that can manage and control the temperature of produce being stored.
Mr Ross added: “These trailers not only have the same fridges and components as our popular German Humbaur models, but are also the most cost-effective of their kind. What’s more, they also offer better insulation than most other trailers on the UK market. This means customers will be using higher quality trailers at a lower cost.”
