Compass-owned workplace catering solution starts to see scale

24 self-service micro-market

24, the innovative self-service micro-market that is part of Compass Group UK & Ireland, has just reached its 40th site after completing openings in Chester, Ipswich and Norwich.

The 24/7 foodservice solution was the first micro-market to be launched in the UK industry in 2014 following its success in the US and it continues to be the market leading solution of its kind. 24 can now be found at workplaces, hospitals and military sites across the country.

24 combines the latest cashless and card payment technology and offers access to over 300 product lines to meet the changing needs of workplace catering.

The micro-market provides an interactive shopping experience, with safety monitoring options and a backup system to ensure the facility is always available. The grab-and-go approach has been well received by clients, in particular at sites with limited space where the facility can successfully operate as a stand-alone service or to complement existing work place restaurants.

Mark Kassapian, business director of 24, said: “It is great to have launched our 40th 24 site. We believe 24 offers a great food service solution, especially in environments where people work irregular hours.  In the last two years, 24 has seen strong growth and we look forward to launching more sites in the future. 24 provides an exceptional tailored solution to meet the requirements of our clients.”
