Lincat recently launched a new website that can comfortably stake its claim as one of the most advanced and comprehensive ever created by a catering equipment manufacturer in the UK. Here’s our guide to 5 key elements that will make a difference to users and prospective buyers of its equipment.
1. Spares store featuring 3,000 parts
Items from Lincat’s vast stockholding of over 3,000 different spare parts can be purchased directly at the click of a button. Parts can be searched for by serial number and stock levels checked, so that accurate choices can be made, and delivery times understood.
A check by serial number looks up the BOM (bill of materials) for the specific piece of equipment. This ensures what the customer is shown is precisely what is in their product. Visitors can also enter product codes or use filters to find exactly what they’re looking for. Standard, express or premium-timed delivery services can be chosen for spare parts.
2. Category filters to locate exactly the right product
Filters unique to each product category help to narrow down the results. This is particularly useful when searching for products that are part of a vast category, such as fryers. For example, if a user is looking for an electric fryer, they can filter results by range, such as FriFri or Lincat’s Lynx 400, Silverlink 600 or Opus 800.
They can also filter by fryer size (depth and width), litre capacity and power supply (single-phase or three-phase). Filters can be applied for items such as the number of baskets, as well as the type of filtration (gravity or pumped) and temperature control (electronic or mechanical).
3. Compare tool that is simple and effective to use
Users can compare up to four products at a time to find the perfect product for their requirement. Comparisons can be made for power and performance, key specifications, weights and dimensions, supply connections and shipping options.
4. Dedicated product pages with key info
Each product has a dedicated page, with large images and a concise product overview. Features and benefits are listed in quick-read bullet points for end-users. For Panther and FriFri products which are complex and can be difficult to specify, the new website is equipped with product configurators. Users can build products tailored specifically for their clients’ needs, using an easy, step-by-step system, simplifying the purchasing process. At the end, they can give their dealer the code, or email Lincat, which will organise a quote through its network of dealers.
