Pret a Manger has made its bakery counters completely vegan in every Veggie Pret store after customer feedback demanding more vegan baked goods.
In addition to its existing vegan dark chocolate and almond cookie and berry croissant, it will be adding a number of brownies, muffins and croissants.
A post on the company’s website said: “You asked for more vegan bakery items, and we listened. Instead of giving you one new product, we’ve ‘veganized’ our entire counter.
“From here on in, we’re only serving vegan kwassonts, muffins and brownies (and let’s not forget our famous vegan cookie).”
There are currently nine Veggie Prets across London and one in Manchester.
Its vegan baked goods, along with many other items from the Pret menu, are available in-store as well as for delivery via Deliveroo, Just Eat and UberEats.
The company announced last month a large restructuring effort amid the coronavirus pandemic.
It will involve the permanent closure of 30 stores, caused by “significant operating losses”.
