Amadeus recruits foodservice veteran to operations team

Amadeus, the NEC Group’s retail, conference and and hospitality caterer has strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of Tony Baldock as operations director.

He brings more than 35 years’ experience in the catering industry and will use his knowledge and expertise to support the ongoing growth of the business.

 Before joining Amadeus, Baldock spent much of his career with the Compass Group UK and Ireland where he was involved in the bidding, mobilisation and project management of a number of high profile contracts with clients such as, Sainsbury’s, Asda and B&Q.

He also worked as executive VP of leisure and retail sales for Compass Group Canada, looking after stadia, hospitality, fine dining, event catering, and most recently he launched his own catering company, Roots Food Service, with a group of catering consultancy specialists.
