Kitchen supplies and tableware firm American MetalCraft is to make its products available to UK trade, direct from the factory and supplied locally in British currency, for the first time.
The company has teamed up with UK catering equipment specialist, Pro Foodservice Reps, who will be in charge of marketing the brand within the UK. It will focus on developing channels for the group’s fine dining, catering, buffet service and pizza supply ranges.
American Metalcraft has grown from a limited product line and a local customer base to a company with customers in all 50 states and over 75 countries around the world.
The company has evolved from a job shop to a manufacturer of more than 2,000 items for its own product line as well as an importer of thousands of tabletop and kitchen supplies. This year alone it has added 300 new items to its catalogue.
Incorporated in 1947 by Archer Kahn, American Metalcraft has functioned as a family-owned business for more than 60 years. In 1995 David Kahn and Susan Kahn Bank took over the business marking the transition to a third generation of family leadership.
Lee Ann Kelly, VP sales and marketing at American Metalcraft, said: “We have been looking to make a major mark in this territory for some time and now have found the right team to help get us there. We have full confidence that they will help support our full portfolio of products – ranging from pizza supplies, bar supplies to tabletop accessories.”
Ross Gibson, sales director of Pro Foodservice Reps, said: “American MetalCraft is a globally recognised brand, we are delighted to be handling their UK efforts, their innovative approach to buffet display and bar equipment is really exciting.”
