Cooking equipment brand Baron this morning declared it was “business as usual” despite the current lockdown in Italy.

The Ali Group company, which is represented by Universal Foodservice Equipment in the UK, said it has taken all precautions to ensure employee safety and carry out its daily business in accordance with the ordinances issued by the Italian government.

“We are pleased to advise that despite the current Italian and global health emergency caused by the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus, it is business as usual for the Baron Ali Group,” said Baron general manager Marco D’Ambrogio.

“Under the circumstances, our support/servicing, manufacturing, supply and shipment activities are continuing regularly, guaranteeing our partners a quality service that matches our customary high standards.”

Given the constantly-changing situation, Mr D’Ambrogio said the brand would keep its partners fully informed of the ongoing status of its business operations through official announcements via its web channels and social media.

The company’s factory is based in Belluno, in the Veneto region of northern Italy.

Other companies connected to Italy-based Ali Group, including Scotsman and Comenda, have also said their assembly plants are open and they are working to ensure that supply is not affected by the current crisis.
