Universal Foodservice Equipment has slashed prices on Baron Evo fryers and promised to maintain the reduction until at least the end of the year.

The company said it would revert to 2018/19 prices following requests from UK distributors.

With kitchen procurement decisions under heavier scrutiny than usual, the sector, partners claim that lower price points will increase their chances of meeting clients’ cost expectations.

The new pricing structure applies to all models of the Evo gas and electric fryers.

“Budgets are tight everywhere in our market sector, with distributors and their customers having to reduce costs wherever possible,” explained Universal managing director Tony Aris.

“Also, the need for energy savings and reduced oil costs are of paramount importance to all and for chefs, clean oil and accurate, instantly controllable frying is becoming more and more essential in modern day kitchens.”

Features of the Evo range include full-size touchscreen computer controlled operation, automatic timed basket lift, built-in auto filter system and high performance production.
