Beefeater to launch first site in over a year in Worksop

Beefeater, Milton Keynes

Whitbread’s Beefeater restaurant brand is set to grow to 175 grill-houses with the opening of The Dukes in the Nottinghamshire market town of Worksop, with the site being the chain’s first new opening in more than a year.

The new site, which will open on Tuesday 15 November in the retail park on High Grounds Road, will be a 130-cover restaurant and bar, with an additional 54 covers in an expansive garden.

The space will feature an eclectic range of seating, including deep yellow leather banquette seating and group dining tables, along with an open kitchen for dinners to catch all the grill action, framed with wooden panelling and warm coloured walls.

Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, menus focus on delivering high quality and big flavour dishes, fresh from the grill, including 30-day aged steaks from British and Irish farms.

The chain offers “eat-as-much-as-you-like” breakfasts starting from £7.50, three-course kids’ menus at £5.99, and a Sunday roast menu, complete with all the trimmings, plus unlimited roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and gravy from £12.99.

Rebecca Donaldson at Whitbread Restaurants said: “We are delighted to be joining the local community of Worksop with the opening of our latest grill-house. The new site marks Beefeater’s first opening in over a year and is a welcome addition to the brand as we continue to grow across the UK. The team are looking forward to opening the doors and welcoming in guests and their families soon.”

The brand was conceived in 1974 and has been serving guests for almost 50 years.

Beefeater’s sister brands Bar + Block and Brewers Fayre is also planning new site openings in the near future.
