Flexeserve unleashes hot-holding unit fit for new foodservice era

Flexeserve Hub

Hot-holding specialist Flexeserve has launched what it is calling the only unit for packaged food that’s designed around the boom in delivery, takeaway and hot food-to-go.

The Flexeserve Hub is a spacious, enclosed hot-holding unit that promises to unlock new sales opportunities for food businesses as the market undergoes a cultural shift.

The system can be placed both front and back-of-house, delivering hot-holding capabilities to support large quantities of packaged food of any shape or size.

Jamie Joyce, chief executive of Flexeserve, said: “We’re incredibly excited about what Flexeserve Hub can achieve, globally. All businesses in the industry are having to adapt to meet the growing demand for hot food – and Flexeserve Hub will transform pickup, delivery and so much more.

“Even prior to launch, two of our most high-profile customers have already begun to see the appeal and impact that it can have.”

Demand for food delivery, takeaway and hot food-to-go has grown during the pandemic, while delivery operators have emerged as some of the fastest growing brands this year.

Flexeserve Hub utilises the company’s unique hot air technology to ensure consistency of a single temperature throughout the unit, keeping large quantities of food hot.

The company said it can hold up to 60 large boxed pizzas, 140 food orders – packed up and ready to go – or up to 140 whole rotisserie chickens.

Mr Joyce continued: “Size matters. Where hot-holding is concerned, high capacity and flexibility lead to so many possibilities. That’s exactly what’s been achieved with Flexeserve Hub – it’s engineered to offer the maximum internal volume for its small footprint.”

Over recent years, the company’s flagship product, Flexeserve Zone, has enabled many businesses to enhance or even reimagine their front-of-house operations.

The company insists that the Flexeserve Hub will do the same for ghost kitchens, takeaways and restaurants by making it easy to stage pickup and delivery orders, hot and ready to be collected and served as they were intended.

Warwick Wakefield, customer experience director at Flexeserve, said: “Utilising Flexeserve Hub in your kitchen will help streamline your efficiencies. You can prepare scheduled orders and bestsellers, then keep them fully packaged at the correct temperature.”

He added: “Flexeserve Hub will improve customer satisfaction by maintaining the quality of your products at the point of customer pickup or collection for delivery. That’s before utilising it to proactively improve your efficiencies, which will increase sales and enhance the overall customer experience.”
