Carluccio’s expands in the UK, takes aim at the US

Casual dining chain Carluccio’s today confirmed it will add a further seven outlets to its estate in the coming months, including its first restaurant in the US.

New UK outlets will open in Barnet, Cheltenham and Cardiff to boost its UK operations, while sites are also planned for the USA, Dublin and Dubai.

The expansion will take the total number of outlets that the group operates to 112.

Carluccio’s has selected Washington as the location of its first US restaurant and will open a second store in the city in August.

The Dubai outlet that launches later this month, meanwhile, will represent its 12th restaurant in the Middle East.

Simon Kossoff, chairman of Carluccio’s, said: “We are pleased to announce accelerated growth of the business, expanding both nationally and internationally.”
