Carpigiani has launched a new venture called Soft Serve Consultancy (SSC), which will provide support to individuals looking to set up an ice cream business from scratch or experienced operators keen to tap into the latest trends.
SCC will be based around four pillars – machine configuration and settings; food style; mix and recipe development; and operations management – to allow customers to see their ideas right the way through to implementation.
Scott Duncan, sales director at Carpigiani UK, said premium soft serve is a growing trend in the world of frozen desserts and offers a growth opportunity for all sorts of foodservice businesses.
He commented: “We have such a lot of know-how and capability within our business and the Carpigiani Soft Serve Consultancy allows us to share this with our customers; past, present and future, and ensure they are receiving the most up to the minute, fresh thinking for their businesses.”
Customers will be able to access the four pillars that fall under SCC’s remit.
This will enable them to gain access to technicians that understand recipe consistency and temperature and the impact of these on yield, as well as advice on the installation of new nozzles that create amazing soft serve shapes.
They will also have access to the latest developments in soft serve packaging, styles, colours and flavours, and guidance on recipe development.
On the operational side, SCC will mentor customers on after-sales service, workflow, processes and training.
