Carpigiani takes over supply of fellow Ali Group brand from Winterhalter

Ice-O-Matic

Ice-O-Matic is set for a change of UK distributor from 1 January – with the brand being taken on by fellow Ali Group company Carpigiani, having previously being sold through Classeq.

Carpigiani will gain exclusive rights for the full range of Ice-O-Matic equipment, including cubers, flakers, storage bins and dispensers, when the brand’s contract with the Winterhalter Group ends later this month.

Adam Lenton (below), who previously oversaw marketing at Classeq, has moved across to Carpigiani, taking over as Ice-O-Matic brand director.

He will bring significant product and sector knowledge to the role, Carpigiani said.

Paul Ingram, managing director of Carpigiani UK, said: “Ice-O-Matic is a brand that we have been familiar with for some time and often see products specified alongside Carpigiani machines in a range of different venues. As such, we are thrilled to now be able to offer this premium range of products alongside the existing Carpigiani portfolio.”

Alex Tappe, vice president of sales and marketing at Ice-O-Matic, said he was confident that the new structure would pay dividends.

“Carpigiani UK has built an enviable reputation and business over the years and we are delighted that Ice-O-Matic will now form a key part of this,” he said.

“We are particularly delighted that Adam Lenton has joined Carpigiani UK to head up the brand, having worked closely with him during his time at Classeq. This new team and direction is particularly exciting for Ice-O-Matic and we look forward to 2021 with added optimism.”
