Catering equipment reseller CaterKwik has published a downloadable checklist of the key things that operators need to remember as they fire up their kitchens in advance of reopening.
In order to ensure a smooth return to service, the Cumbria-based outfit has selected its list of essential kitchen tasks, covering cooking, refrigeration, warewashing, canopies and extraction, and water softeners.
Periods of inactivity can have a serious impact on kitchen equipment performance, but operators can’t afford to take shortcuts when it comes to the upkeep and maintenance of vital kit.
“Whether you’re running a boutique food truck, a neighbourhood cafe, or a high-end restaurant, equipment maintenance is key to keeping your kitchen operational and safeguarding your business against unexpected costs,” the company said.
Cater-Kwik recommends that operators complete the checks contained in its checklist at least one week before opening on 12 April.
