DC Products, the warewashing equipment and ice machine manufacturer, has been acquired by the JLA Group.

The takeover marks the first time that JLA has bought a catering manufacturer after a spell of snapping up seven independent kitchen design and service firms over recent years.

All of DC’s business processes, points of contacts, products and services will remain the same.

“Joining the JLA Group marks the start of a really exciting period for DC Products,” said Mr Wood. “The investment and support from JLA will allow us to accelerate our ambitious growth plans and, most importantly, deliver even better products and service to all of our customers.”

JLA made its name in laundry equipment rental and servicing but diversified into catering several years ago, although last year it ceased its light equipment and design and build operations.

Stephen Baxter, CEO of JLA Group, commented: “We are delighted to have Bob and his team join the JLA Group. Bob has done a tremendous job in growing DC Products into the business it is today, with a great track record of service to its growing customer base, and we are really looking forward to continuing this together in the future.”

  1. Interesting. JLA’s current Proton South business and DC Products both buy their “badged” D/W’s from the same Italian manufacture, Silanos of Italy. This should give JLA a little more purchasing power.
Well done to Bob Wood and the team in securing the investment and support of industry giant JLA
