Chef turned equipment salesman brings wealth of kitchen know-how to FEM role

Matthew Vincent, regional sales manager Midlands

Former chef turned equipment salesman Matthew Vincent has joined up with FEM to look after sales of its products in the Midlands.

Mr Vincent has worked for some of the industry’s top names, including Rational, Robot Coupe, Middleby and Electrolux, since moving to the equipment side of the market.

He initially trained as a chef and spent time in the kitchens of several Michelin starred restaurants during his 14 years behind the pass.

In his new role, Mr Vincent will be working closely with FEM’s established customers and dealer network in the Midlands, helping them to generate business, as well as being responsible for driving new sales and investigating new market opportunities.

He’ll also be involved in training and running demonstration days, when his expertise as a chef will be hugely advantageous.

“FEM has a great product portfolio and a really strong team, I’m very much looking forward to working with them,” he said.

“The Midlands region has many prominent dealers and specifiers and I can’t wait to be getting out on the road to meet everyone.”

Mike Inwood, sales director at FEM, said Mr Vincent would bring a wealth of know-how from both sides of the industry.

“He will make an invaluable contribution as we build business in the post-lockdown market,” he said.
