Comenda makes plans for smooth transition of service work

Service obligations for Comenda dishwashers will be transferred to Hubbard Systems from June 5th, it has been confirmed.

Hubbard was unveiled as the new UK distributor of Comenda earlier this week after parent company Ali Group announced it was shutting its Dawson subsidiary, which had managed the brand up to now.

Operators with Comenda equipment that is still under warranty, or was bought with an extended service package, will now have their agreements managed by Hubbard from next month.

Support will be provided by Serviceline, also part of the Ali Group, which will fulfil the service obligations to ensure there is no loss of continuity during the transition, the company said.

The restructure will see all Comenda products and spare parts managed solely by Hubbard Systems in the UK.

Comenda’s portfolio includes small undercounter glasswashers right up to special-build rack and flight machines. Ali Group said it sells “several thousand units” per year globally.

Simon Aspin, commercial director of Hubbard Systems, commented: “Hubbard Systems and the Ali Group already have a strong commercial partnership with the exclusive distribution of Scotsman ice makers, and we welcome this exciting opportunity to further develop our position in the UK market.”

Hubbard said it aims to build the Comenda brand in the UK by working closely with the Comenda factory on larger schemes, and taking the same approach as it has done with the Scotsman brand, maintaining high levels of customer support and product availability.
