The Commercial Kitchen, Casual Dining and Lunch! shows will still take place next week, with attendees set to observe a one-minute silence on both days of the event.

Organisers Diversified Communications were advised this morning that business will continue to operate during the 10-day period of mourning for Her Majesty the Queen, who passed away at Balmoral yesterday.

It also consulted earlier today with ExCeL, which confirmed that the venue will remain open as normal next week.

Flags have been lowered to half-mast and will stay lowered throughout the official mourning period.

A book of condolence has also been made available within the venue.

Diversified stated: “The three shows will be open as planned next week. We have spoken to many of our supporters this morning who agree that lunch!, Casual Dining and Commercial Kitchen should happen.

“Everyone will observe a 1-minute silence on both Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15 September as we open the show.”

Diversified added: “Our thoughts are with the Royal Family. We have so much gratitude and respect for the unfaltering service and commitment the Queen has given to our country during her long reign. She was a wonderful person, an icon, and a national treasure.”
