Compass provides a path into the industry at Hotelympia

Compass Group UK & Ireland has been using its presence at Hotelympia this week to show budding young hospitality talent a way into the industry.

The UK’s largest catering firm has been showcasing a range of opportunities open to future recruits, as well as outlining the various training schemes it offers.

Compass currently employs around 30 graduates and 500 apprentices each year. In the last year, the firm has been recognised as a Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer and also made The Job Crowd’s Top 100 Companies for Graduates to Work For list.

Compass Group recruits graduates on a two-year scheme into a number of nationwide roles across the range of its businesses, including operations, commercial, finance, nutrition, HR, security and marketing.

Apprenticeship training programmes are also offered in a range of disciplines, such as professional cookery, management, security, facilities management and leadership.

During the exhibition, a number of culinary apprentices have been competing in various chef competitions.
