Compass subsidiary is king after landing Leeds Castle contract

Compass Group’s leisure catering arm has launched a new café at Leeds Castle in Kent after securing an extension of its contract with the venue.

The new-look Maze Café provides visitors with a modern menu to complement the updated appearance of the café following refurbishment. Food concepts have been designed as part of a new family-friendly menu, while the focus of the re-launched eatery is around homemade, fast fresh food.

The café is part of the developments that Levy Restaurants UK is implementing at Leeds Castle after securing a renewal of its contract. The continued partnership will see the 60-strong Levy Restaurants UK team provide public, conference and event catering at the historic venue to deliver a memorable guest experience to visitors.

As well as The Maze Café, Leeds Castle offers The Fairfax Restaurant, along with a number of food and drink kiosks located throughout the grounds of the castle.

In addition, Levy’s team will continue providing an event banqueting service as well as catering for accommodation guests and even ‘glampers’.

Jonathan Davidson, business director, leisure, at Levy Restaurants, stated: “Our partnership with Leeds Castle is a great example of our ‘guest first’ ethos and our absolute focus on delivering legendary guest experiences. Leeds Castle is truly a place of legends and we feel very privileged to work with such an historic, beautiful venue, helping retain its iconic status through the delivery of amazing food and service.”

Leeds Castle is an iconic venue that attracts a large number of visitors throughout the year, welcoming over 500,000 guests annually. Once a royal residence owned by Henry VIII, the Castle has been the private property of six English kings and queens throughout its 900-year history.
