Filta Group Holdings has hired a leading contract catering executive to run its UK business.
The fryer management and commercial kitchen services specialist has brought in Brian Riordan as managing director.
Mr Riordan, who has 25 years’ experience of working across foodservice and facilities management, sales and marketing, retail and hotels, will commence the role on 5 October.
He joins the company from Aramark, where he served as divisional managing director, and prior to that worked for a number of years as operations director at Compass Group.
“With the hospitality sector moving towards a ‘new normal’ as a result of the pandemic, it is crucial for us to be suitably positioned to service our customer base through these times of continued uncertainty,” he said. “Filta has already established an outstanding position in the UK, and I am excited to become part of the team.”
Mr Riordan will lead the growth and development of the existing UK business and will oversee the roll-out and expansion of Filta’s new partnership with NTH Solutions, a support services group wholly owned by North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Trust.
Filta is utilising NTH Solutions’ hypochlorous acid based broad-spectrum disinfectant, along with NHS accredited training, as part of the Filta Sanitation Service.
Filta Group CEO Jason Sayers said Mr Riordan brings a wealth of commercial experience in the facilities and hospitality sector, which will be of tremendous value to the group.
“We have excellent products and services that are highly rated by our customers and have achieved good operational performance despite the global pandemic.
“We expect both our existing and potential new customers in the hospitality business to continue their return to normality and, as such, it is now time to ensure we have everything in place as we seek to continue growing our UK business and broadening our service offering.”
Roscoe Urosevic, currently managing director of Filta UK, will resume his role on the board as corporate development director for the UK, helping to guide the business through the next phase of growth.
