Deliveroo searching for a site operations head to develop dark kitchens business overseas

Deliveroo is searching for a “high calibre food professional” to spearhead the expansion of its delivery kitchens business in mainland Europe.

The company plans to appoint a head of Editions EU – site operations, who will be responsible for leading its teams in France, Netherlands and Spain.

Deliveroo’s off-site ‘super kitchens’ have been hugely popular in the UK and the firm is aiming to replicate the model in Europe.

The role will involve managing the operational performance of the Editions sites including customer metrics, health and safety compliance and key cost line management.

The chosen candidate will work across functions to input into new site opening sign off processes and ensure sites are ready for launch, as well as maintain productive ‘operator to operator’ relationships with restaurant partners and support the onboarding and account management process.

The company stated: “Delivery-only kitchens have never been higher profile, or more valuable for improving service and selection for customers. And the future is even more exciting: bigger brands are joining us, we are expanding locations and markets, and finding new ways to add value and reshape the food delivery landscape.
