Maidaid Halcyon has strengthened its sales team in the UK by hiring Robert Wager as national accounts manager.

He takes on the newly-created role after almost two decades working in the warewashing equipment sector.

Previously he has worked for manufacturers Hobart and Meiko while more recently he served as technical sales manager for Comenda, which is supplied into the UK market through Dawson Foodservice Equipment.

Julian Lambert, sales director of Maidaid Halcyon, said he was pleased to welcome Wager to the team.

“Robert has over 19 years’ experience within the commercial catering industry where he has developed long standing contacts within both the public and private sectors. His new role as national accounts manager will involve developing specification within the public sector to drive through our distributor network.”

Lambert added that Wager’s experience of the sector would be an asset to the brand as it looks to expand its position in the market.

Wager commented: “I am delighted to be working with a team of people with such a positive ‘can do’ approach. I am more than a little excited and can’t wait to get back out on the road.”
