Berlin-inspired street food chain Döner Shack has announced it will expand its restaurant portfolio with the opening of its London flagship site in late Autumn this year, the first of four new openings planned to launch in the city over the next six months.
Spread across two floors, the 3,000 sq ft site on the city’s busy Baker Street will contain space for 40 covers and outdoor seating for eight people.
With a contemporary setting, the fast-casual dining venue is bringing its authentic German kebabs to London for the first time and joins the chain’s existing UK sites in Leeds, Manchester and Leicester, with the latter opening last month.
The brand has a 15-year lease on the property and is now developing its first innovation store with robotic kebab cutters in its kitchens to help reduce food preparation time and food waste.
As the first Döner Shack site with a basement kitchen, the new store will allow customers to see their food being prepared live through screens within the ground-floor restaurant and a custom-designed travelling belt will be used to transport the food from the lower ground to the upper level to ensure freshness.
Open for all day dining, take-away, delivery and click and collect services, the new restaurant promises to bring the brand’s street food favourites to the popular Marylebone district of London.

Döner Shack offers customers authentic kebabs using freshly baked traditional Fladenbrot (Turkish flatbread) with homemade signature sauces and a choice of salads as accompaniments.
The menu will also offer halloumi and falafel, vegan options and currywurst, with a selection of milkshakes, German beer and soft drinks on offer.
