Catering equipment sales expert Steve Simmonds has joined FEM in a new sales role.
Mr Simmonds has worked on the distributor side of the business for more than 22 years. He has been with Nisbets for the last nine years, where he most recently served as national accounts manager – restaurants, and prior to that he worked for Bunzl Lockhart for eight years.
At FEM he will take on the mantle of business development manager for London and the south of England.
The newly-created post marks an expansion of the FEM sales team and will see him work alongside FEM sales manager Martin Shaw in the region.
As well as growing relationships with key strategic distributors, he will use his expertise and extensive contacts in the casual dining and contract catering areas to help increase the company’s market share in these sectors.
He said: “I’ll be developing the relationships with people I’ve dealt with during my career, as well as building new relationships, and in the process growing the brands and products in the FEM portfolio.”
