Falcon hails operators driving innovative market concepts

Falcon Foodservice Equipment offers a range of commercial cooking applications to support operators of all types and it’s backing those who are driving innovation by sponsoring the Operator of the Year for Best New Kitchen concept at the 2019 FEJ Awards. 

The UK foodservice market is one of the most vibrant in the world, with new operators, cuisines and business models springing up all the time.

The accolade that Falcon is sponsoring therefore recognises the costs and challenges involved with rolling out a new venture.

Peter McAllister, managing director of Falcon, says the industry relies on innovative operators to come up with bold concepts and fresh ideas that challenge the status quo.

“They drive the industry forward, always looking for new concepts and initiatives. They lead the way in areas such as sustainability and menu development. They respond quickly to new trends and consumer food fashions. They are passionate about their products. For all these reasons, Falcon is proud to be associated with these awards.”

Mr McAllister insists that without innovation, the industry will simply stagnate. “By giving innovation and achievement the high profile it deserves, we help inspire the next generation of innovators to succeed.”

Falcon remains deeply passionate about its own products and this year it will celebrate a major milestone as the business is two centuries old.

“On the one hand we have a history going back 200 years, on the other we are committed to developing new ideas and concepts that can meet the changing needs of the hospitality industry,” explained Mr McAllister. “And we’re genuinely committed to manufacturing excellence. That’s why our products are so widely used in the industry.

“We’re also committed to helping our customers with menu ideas and concepts – we have a development kitchen where customers come to use our products, helped by our business development chef, Shaune Hall, who also regularly works with customers in their own kitchens.”

The FEJ Awards takes place at the Birmingham Metropole on Tuesday 4 June, the first evening of the Commercial Kitchen show.
