The winner of the Editor’s Merit Award is Star Pubs & Bars.
Over the course of a year, FEJ meets and report on dozens of companies in the industry and we’re always excited when we come across those that are really passionate about what they do or which are rising to the challenge of being the best that they can be.
Star Pubs & Bars has made an investment of almost £2m in the last year to renovate sites across its estate and ensure that its kitchens are equipped to deal with growing food volumes.
It has taken proactive measures to combat the industry skills shortage by devising new training programmes and multimedia training resources.
These efforts have helped increase the number of its sites offering food to 70%, the highest percentage of any national leased operator.
