The Supplier of the Year for Service & Support is Lincat.
This accolade acknowledges that selling a piece of equipment is only the first part of a supplier’s relationship with its customers, which is why so many operators place huge value on the support that a brand can offer them.
Areas such as warranty provision, after-sales service, spare parts and customer assistance are all key components.
With operators increasingly requiring product and stock information on-demand these days, Lincat launched a new website to improve the catering equipment purchase process for end-users.
An extensive 18-month development project led to the British manufacturer creating a site that now allows users to directly compare up to four pieces of equipment side by side, including dimensions, power and performance, as well as access more detailed product information and even buy spare parts online.
Operators can now see pictures of more than 3,000 spare parts, check stock availability and delivery options, and place orders on a 24/7 basis.
An online product configurator for its Panther and FriFri ranges, meanwhile, simplifies what used to be a complex specification process for bespoke products.
Helen Applewhite, group marketing manager at Lincat, IMC and Britannia, (pictured receiving the award from FEJ editorial director Andrew Seymour) said: “It’s great to work for a progressive company like the Middleby Group. They have allowed us to evolve and develop the latest technology for our website. I’m thrilled with this win and it recognises the strength in the big team we have behind us.”
