FEJ AWARDS UPDATE: A note from the editor

FEJ Awards trophies

It’s fair to say that since we opened the nomination process for the 2020 FEJ Awards, a lot has changed!

This year’s awards were due to take place on Wednesday 3 June on what would have been the first evening of the Commercial Kitchen show, but the current restrictions imposed by the government means this will now not be the case.

We realise that the market is facing unprecedented challenges and we would therefore like to extend our thoughts and support to all our industry friends, partners, sponsors and associates at this time.

There has been no shortage of innovations, concepts and examples of leadership within the operator and supplier landscape during the past 12 months – and for all the turbulence that the current climate has brought, it has also seen companies and individuals from within the industry go to extraordinary lengths to help others.

When this period is over, and suppliers return to developing great equipment, and operators get back to using this equipment to deliver great menus, the cream of the industry will rise again.

We remain firmly committed to recognising and honouring the leaders of the industry, and celebrating the partnerships that form the bedrock of this sector.

Our intention is to host the 2020 FEJ Awards in London in the second half of the year, with a date to be confirmed in due course.

All awards entries that we have received so far will remain eligible – and we will also reopen the nomination process for a select period once businesses are fully operational again.

All the latest developments will be communicated through our digital and print channels, so please continue to check back here for further information or keep an eye on our daily news alerts.

Thank you
