Catering supplier FEM is set to mark its 25th anniversary as a business on July 4 by slashing 25% off the cost of one of its top-selling American-manufactured products.
The promotion ties in with Independence Day, which is highly appropriate since FEM’s original USP was importing American-manufactured catering equipment – something that was largely unobtainable in the UK at that time.
FEM will celebrate by knocking 25% off the cost of the Hamilton Beech 908 Bar Blender, one of its most popular and iconic American-made items.
“We chose the 908 because it’s such a typically American product,” explained Mark Hogan, FEM’s marketing and sales director. “It’s built to last, offers powerful performance and is easy to look after.”
The 908 is a compact, dual speed model with a 1.25-litre capacity, making it ideal for blended coffees, cocktails, smoothies and juices. “Blender sales have grown in recent years due to their popularity in trending sectors such as juice bars, coffee shops and cocktail bars,” he added.
FEM’s focus on American products remains a key part of its strategy today. Its most recent agreement was with Frontline, which has developed a smart oil management system that eliminates the need for staff to handle oil, allowing operators to fill and empty fryers at the push of a button.
“Frontline represents the way the industry is going,” said Mr Hogan. “It uses technology to deliver automation, data management and remote connectivity, giving efficiencies and cost savings all down the line.”
The 25% discount on the Hamilton Beech 908 is available throughout July. The list price (without discount) is £295 plus VAT.
