A D&D London site famous for being the restaurant where Channel 4’s reality TV show First Dates is filmed is set to close at the end of this month.
Paternoster Chophouse, next to St Paul’s Cathedral, will trade from the location until the end of November before reopening at 60 Ludgate shortly afterwards.
D&D said the relocation is due to the proposed refurbishment of 1 Warwick Court in Paternoster Square, the building currently occupied by the restaurant.
Des Gunewardena, CEO and co-dounder of D&D, said: “Paternoster Chophouse is a very successful and popular restaurant, particularly given its association with First Dates. We are therefore pleased to have secured a site only a short walk away from the restaurant’s current location.”
First Dates stars Fred Sirieix and captures what happens when single people meet for blind dates at the restaurant.
D&D London owns and operates restaurants in London, Leeds, Manchester, Paris and New York and the 80 bedroom South Place Hotel in London.
