First Jestic masterclass for operators takes place tomorrow

The first set of operators signed up to Jestic’s free quarterly educational workshops will be given a masterclass in frying when the launch session kicks off tomorrow.

Jestic is still accepting places on the one-day course at its test kitchen in Paddock Wood, Kent, but it is almost fully booked.

The course has been created by Jestic’s in-house culinary team and is offered on a no obligation basis. It is due to last around four hours and include live demonstrations and a lunch, which will showcase the capabilities of the different appliances.

Participants enrolled on tomorrow’s course will cover topics such as ‘The science behind oil and what happens when it is heated’, ‘Oil testing methods’, ‘Best practices and extending oil life’ and ‘Equipment innovation’.

Jestic is also promising to dispel many of the myths around frying and how to ensure quality at all times.

Featuring some of the latest research and information into specific cooking methods, the session will deliver an insight into the latest best practice, offer helpful hints and tips on maintaining efficiency and provide an understanding of how to get the most from the technology available to a modern kitchen.

Culinary director, Michael Eyre, said: “We’ve combined decades of research and development carried out both by Jestic and by the equipment manufacturers whose appliances we distribute, to create a series of one-day workshops for operators, buyers and specifiers from across the industry.

“Using our ready-made development kitchen in Paddock Wood, our culinary team will deliver the very latest information on key cooking techniques and methods to help get the most from your equipment. We will combine theory with live demonstrations to deliver a comprehensive programme and achieve a specialist level of knowledge that operators can take back to their kitchen, helping to further expertise across a business.”
