Continental Chef Supplies is using Hotelympia to unveil what it is calling “the first mobile supplies showroom of its kind in the UK”.
The catering equipment supplier’s ‘#CCSLive’ ‘mobile showroom’ is a vehicle packed with equipment and tableware that the company plans to drive around the country once it is finished at the ExCeL London.
Designed specifically for the catering and hospitality market, the vehicle will travel nationwide with the aim of bringing professional back- and front-of-house catering supplies closer to customers. It was officially launched at the exhibition yesterday.
As well as showcasing the latest offerings from CCS, the concept behind #CCSLive is set to incorporate live events, live chef demos and live products all under one roof.
Paul Brown, managing director of Bunzl Speciality Businesses, said: “#CCSLive is a revolutionary, exciting and momentous venture for Continental Chef Supplies and the catering and hospitality industry. Brown claims the calendar of events for 2016 is already filling up and said customers interested in finding out when the truck is visiting their destination can check its website or follow it on social media.
