Five Guys is to commence work on a kitchen for a new site it is opening in Liverpool this summer.
The American burger chain, famous for cooking its burgers on high performance MagiKitch’n griddles, has agreed a lease on a 4,822 sq ft site at the Liverpool ONE shopping and leisure venue.
Five Guys will join a range of family dining restaurants on ‘The Terrace’ area of the site, including Wagamama, Pizza Express, and GBK, as well as an 18-screen Odeon cinema.
The site will have 175 covers when it opens later this year.
Neville Mailing, head of property at Five Guys, said: “Securing a location on The Terrace at Liverpool ONE fulfills a long-held ambition for Five Guys. We are in a prime location in one of the UK’s prime cities.”
Five Guys operates more than 40 stores in the UK and has ambitions to get to 200.
The chain told FEJ last year that potential new sites must be able to accommodate its flagship open kitchen model for them to be viable.
