A new food hall is in the pipeline to replace the former Wetherspoon Pear Tree pub on Kings Heath High Street in Birmingham.
Set to be operated by District Marketplace if plans go ahead, the independent food hall will feature six food stalls, a bar, as well as kiosks selling bakery goods and coffee.
The venue will be ran using a digital buying platform, with table service for food and drinks from a variety of vendors based on site.
The company behind the plans is headed up by Kash Khera and general manager Thomas Bray.
A planning application submitted to Birmingham City Council stated that District Marketplace wanted to work with the “best restaurateurs and street food operators” in the city.
Part of the old pub would also be used for co-working and office spaces.
