Former chain boss switches to supply side

Ben Cohen

Ben Cohen, an ex-general manager with Loch Fyne restaurants and former owner of a small restaurant chain, has switched to the supplier side of the business by teaming up with Caffeine Limited.

Cohen joins the company as sales manager at a time of rapid expansion for the firm. As well as distributing Schaerer and Gaggia equipment, it is about to launch its own range of roasted coffees.

Justin Stockwell, managing director of Caffeine Limited, said Cohen would bring plenty of experience to the table having worked as an operator.

“Ben has a huge passion for the industry and, having been there, he totally understands the operator’s point of view. We’re all about making a difference to our customers – Ben’s knowledge is enhancing our ability to deliver that difference.”

Cohen’s role will be to help operators get more out of their coffee service. He said: “I see Caffeine Limited as being all about quality – not only in terms of the equipment and the coffee itself, but also service and training. Too few coffee companies give enough attention to customer support – that’s going to be my main focus.”
