Former Lockhart stalwart relishing role with grill manufacturer

Ian Parsons, sales & marketing director

Former Lockhart Catering Equipment man Ian Parsons says he is relishing the challenge ahead after linking up with Synergy Grill this week.

Mr Parsons has joined the British grill manufacturer as sales and marketing director. He brings 25 years’ experience to the role, including 15 at Bunzl Lockhart. For the past three years he has been running his own consultancy, Alset Partners.

He said: “I am joining Synergy at a very exciting time with many ‘hot projects’ in the pipeline, and as our industry comes alive again. I look forward to working with Synergy’s authorised dealers and their customers, including chefs, restaurateurs, and business owners, to help them reduce their carbon footprint, deliver a better food experience, hit their zero waste targets, and achieve their corporate social responsibility aims.”

Mr Parsons says he has been aware of Synergy Grill as a company for the past 10 years and watched the business grow.

“What has been apparent during this time is the technology excellence that everyone holds for the equipment, and rightly so. Despite the many unique operator benefits of installing a Synergy Grill, it is only when you talk to chefs about the cooking experience, that you really begin to understand the immediate difference that a Synergy Grill makes in the commercial kitchen.”

Justin Cadbury, chairman of Synergy Grill Technology, said Mr Parson’s experience would be invaluable as it looks to continue its rapid growth.

“Ian brings a wealth of industry knowledge to the company, a lot of which is in our most important areas including dealers, key operating groups and chefs,” he said.

“We believe that Ian is perfectly placed to communicate the significant benefits that a Synergy Grill can offer differing food outlets, delivering a better cooking experience for both chef and diner, 59% energy savings, patented vaporising technology, cleaner kitchens and, most importantly at this time, rapid financial payback from the initial investment.”

Yesterday, FEJ revealed how Synergy had released the eGrill, its first ever electric grill.
