Frima UK has appointed a chef who worked on the delivery of catering for the 2012 London Olympics as its new regional sales manager for London.

Darren Brinn, a highly experienced chef, has headed up large commercial contracts for several leading organisations including BT and GSK.

Most recently he was executive chef at Aramark UK’s HQ in Northwood, where he helped support delivery of catering for the Olympics.Darren Brinn, regional sales manager for London

“Once I decided to switch into sales the opportunity to join Frima was too good to miss,” he says. “I am familiar with the product line – to be honest, it’s been something of a passion of mine. It’s a premium piece of technology that truly makes chefs’ lives easier. It’s fast, easy to use, energy-saving and produces great results.”

Frima UK managing director, Graham Kille, said that Brinn would be a great asset to its team. “Darren is imaginative, creative and ambitious. Wherever possible we recruit former chefs as salespeople, since they have natural empathy with our customers and understand their issues. Darren’s experience will be invaluable.”

Brinn joins Frima just as the company has launched its latest model, the VarioCooking Center 112L. The new line is a classic, countertop two-pan Frima, but with a 50 litre cooking capacity, making it ideal for restaurants looking for a multifunctional cooking appliance that can handle larger volumes.
