Franco Manca’s expansion into the regional market place has not dulled its appetite for further London growth, with the pizza chain committed to opening additional sites in the capital in 2016.
The company has built its success up to now on opening stores across London, but over the past 12 months it has also diversified south, into places such as Brighton and Guildford.
David Page, chairman of parent company Fulham Shore, confirmed that it is embarking on a string of London projects between now and the end of the year to extend its presence in London.
“We are building three more Franco Manca pizzeria across London to open later this year and one The Real Greek in Muswell Hill to open this Autumn,” he said. “The openings planned in this financial year are in line with market expectations.”
In the financial year to date, Fulham Shore has opened seven Franco Manca pizzeria, taking its overall group portfolio to 36 sites. This includes nine branches of The Real Greek, 26 Franco Mancas and one Bukowski Grill.
Mr Page also said that initial trials with Deliveroo, offering Franco Manca pizza on a delivered basis, have proved “encouraging”. He said: “We are extending this trial to further Franco Manca pizzeria in the coming weeks.”
