Fulham Shore has pledged to open more Franco Manca and The Real Greek restaurants in 2019 – and said the expansion will be financed primarily by internally generated cash flow.
One new Franco Manca restaurant is currently being built in Greenwich, and this will open early in the next few months.
It has also signed a site for a Franco Manca pizzeria in Edinburgh and is in legal negotiations on other restaurant leases across the UK, with a target of opening in the summer or autumn of 2019.
The Real Greek is also negotiating for a number of new sites around the UK, it said.
Fulham Shore said it is planning to increase the number of restaurant openings in its current financial year after launching four in the past year: two in London and one each in Bath and Cambridge.
New London openings have focused on initially borrowing sales and customers from nearby existing Franco Mancas, but the company said that strategy has now ended. As a result, many of the early sites are now achieving growth again.
It added that overall its two restaurant businesses steadily increased their turnover during each quarter of the last financial year, both in total revenue, and in comparison to the previous year.
Fulham Shore now operates 61 restaurants, comprising 44 Franco Manca in the UK, one Franco Manca in Italy and 16 The Real Greek.
