A new Frankie & Benny’s site in Essex is set to feature a more energy efficient kitchen design that has also been adapted for delivery sales as the chain ratchets up its focus on sustainability.

The branch, in Basildon, will reportedly include a variety of energy efficient catering equipment to make the operation as green as possible.

The design has also been tweaked to incorporate space for servicing the significant growth it is seeing in delivery and takeaway.

The expansion of the kitchen area will also allow the team to deliver on the investment that it has made in enhancing its menu offer over the past 12 months.

The new kitchen is one of the main aspects of a wider refurbishment at the site, which will have a more modern appearance and lighter design when it reopens.

Frankie & Benny’s offers an Italian American menu and has operated for more than 20 years.

The chain is one of the largest brands in The Restaurant Group portfolio.
