Elektron Technology, the company behind the Checkit food safety monitoring system for commercial kitchens, is holding a special free webinar entitled ‘Food Safety – Planning for 2020’ this week.
The webinar, which is held in association with Campden BRI, will take place on Thursday 17 September, between 3pm and 4pm.
In 2020 the industry will need to feed somewhere in the region of nine billion people, with no margin for error in regard to food quality standards.
The future of food safety will see food safety regulators and food businesses demanding new technology developments to drive the most rigorous and cost-effective monitoring approaches.
The webinar will be hosted by a panel of industry experts, who will discuss how the industry can prepare for the challenges it faces.
The panel will include Alan Campbell, food and packaging technologist at Campden BRI, Sarah Daniels, a chartered environmental health practitioner and consultant who works with catering businesses on their food safety management requirements, and Martin Nash, product manager for Checkit.
